About Yoga Therapy
Why Yoga Therapy

Yoga therapy is an holistic approach to personal healthcare.
Through yoga we can work on balancing the physical, mental, behavioral, and emotional aspects of our system. When we are out of balance, we experience symptoms on various levels and looking at this through the lens of yoga, we can see how to address the symptoms and work on the root causes.

Yoga is a self-empowering method of how we can take action in our own health, healing and wellness goals.
An individualized yoga practice are designed to address a person's needs and goals. We experience life's challenges in different ways, whether we have an acute or chronic illness, have stress or other patterns that are no longer serving us well, or we want to take preventative action. A customized yoga practice will meet you where you are and is non-intrusive, sustainable and transformative. It is also a profound experience if you are a practicing Yogi and just wish to deepen your practice.

Breath Focused Yoga:

Using breathing techniques at its core, yoga works directly to calm and balance the autonomic nervous system which has a positive ripple affect on the whole system. In a practice, breath is combined with movement in asana (physical postures), along with other tools (visualization, meditation, sound), as appropriate for the student's abilities and comfort. In addition to helping reduce symptoms of health concerns, a daily practice creates healthy experiences which will foster new positive patterns, and brings about more clarity, peace and joy.
